A little 'update the community' action if you will... A couple of sweet CDs are coming out in the next two weeks that your favorite Phoenix staples happen to appear on. Yes that's right ladies, theshizz.org's second comp is released this Saturday the 10th and features our new crowd pleasing favorite, "Shit". The comp turned out very well and there are 14 bands playing the show at Trunkspace to celebrate its release. Show starts at 6PM, we play around 10PM! $10 w/ CD all ages!

The second CD is coming out next Saturday the 17th (that's RECORD STORE DAY for those keeping score at home) and features five bands, all on new local label Black Cactus Records. "Ashes Over Idaho" (you know, the REALLY catchy one) and "Gravity Is Not Your Friend" (you know, the other REALLY catchy one) are two brand-new unreleased tracks from your favorite Phoenix staples that will appear on the disc. The sampler happens to be FREE if you are at the show at Stinkweeds, along with a bunch of other freebies and new releases. Show starts at 1PM, we play at 4PM FREE all ages!

Shows in Bisbee, Flagstaff, Phoenix and (hopefully) Tucson for the Shizz Comp CD release. Click right here for the lowdown on the compilation. Dave Quan is handling the artwork for our new double album, which just got mastered and should have an awesome full color 32-page booklet and will have over an hour-and-a-half of music. Rumblings of a summer tour with some Gentlemen from Tucson... speaking of Tucson, if anyone can help with a Tucson show for May 7, email us!

Hola Amigos. We are playing the last show at Modifed Arts before Kimber Lanning steps down at the helm and the space transforms this Saturday the 12th. The Minibosses and Get Down! to brass tacks will help us bring the thunder one last night. LDT! We are doing Erratic! Radio on KWSS 106.7FM (listen online), December 15. The show starts at 8pm. We will be playing a few songs live and talking about curing chronic migranes. For New Years Eve we are playing Upsahl's NYE house show with the Reddmen (ND), This Travelling Will and Lost in the Sun. If you would like directions, email Mr. Upsahl here. For January we are playing High School Football Records' showcase at the Yucca Tap Room with Bolt!, Skinwalkers, Tightholes, The Gentlemen of Monster Island and Smocus Pocus, then doing a show at Plush in Tucson the follwing evening with The Gentlemen on January 29 and the 30th respectively. The double album is in Chicago being mastered. :) Much love y'all.

Hola compadres. Feel us: Finishing up a new trizz for the new Shizz Comp. Playing a FREE show at the Ruby Room with the Love Me Nots, Surfside IV and Snake! Snake! Snakes!
It's for cenpho.tv's 1st Year Anniversary. They've had a shitty theft problem recently and we would really appreciate it if you could come out, have a few mixed drinks and share your contraband. All for a good cause, all in a nights work.

9.20.09
Shotfest III, "The Search for Shot" is this weekend at the Yucca. We will be up in Flagstaff at the Monte V the weekend after that. Playing with (the) Fishbone at the Yucca in October as well. Links and info below. Please check out the When In AZ... compilation, it turned out pretty swell. Check out our cover of BOLT!'s "Indigo Plateau". There are some amazing songs on the comp (Source Victoria's cover just for starters) so buy it! We have a track called "Shit" on the upcoming Shizz Records comp as well. Keep an eye on the Shizz's website for more details. Our double album will be sent to mastering by the middle of next month!

8.15.09

So this is weird, an old friend sent me a message a couple weeks ago asking if this was us in the background of this FOX TV show called "Bones". So, thinking she is crazy, I check out the link she dropped and :30 in they start playing "the sickness" from our EP. Pretty wacky. Check it out here:
CLICK ON THE CLIP CALLED "Angela and Hodgins"

Thanks for the heads up Celeste!

602radio.com has posted our interview/performance. We played all new songs off the yet to be released album, well maybe an old one in there for good measure. Special thanks to steve-o (nasty boyz, tempe) for his help with the interview portion. The appearance was recorded live my friends...

Our label's first showcase is this Friday the 17th at Jugheads. Skinwalkers, Tightholes and BOLT! will be joining us. Please visit the website and come out to the show, it should be fantastic!

Still hard at work on the album, will be posting new songs soon! Maybe our BOLT! cover as well...

6.12.09
We have finished tracking with Lance Lammers of Seven Story Mountain and have one session left with Jalipaz at Audioconfusion. We have tracked our BOLT! cover for the wheninaz.com comp and a new single for the double album at Overeasy Studios with Matt and Andy. Probably the most fun I've ever had at a session and the recording reflects it. The Arizona Republic (well, Nicki Escudero) gave us some love on azcentral.com and Metromix. CenPho.tv has been giving our live shows shout outs and Indie Music Phoenix had us on their Cable TV show. The show should make its way to the internet soon, we will keep you posted. Also we played a BUNCH of new songs at Molusk's place and did an "interesting" (hopefully :P~) interview for 602radio.com keep and eye on their website for it! Awesome shows coming up. Vegan BBQ at Green and check out our label showcase show at Jugheads and download free music from Skinwalkers, BOLT!, Thee Apologies, The Levines and Wax Vultures on High School Football Records.org! Oh, and you can grab our first two records that have been out of print for about 7 years. :) love,
billy g / necronauts

Hi, go ahead and download our entire discography for free. Yes, we're still working on the new double album. One CD is 23 tracks long. Rawr. We are making a new video. It's either going to be us performing while pissing for the entire video, which will take a few months to shoot according to blAaron Burke, or it will be religeous figures whipping our backs guilting us into marching into the sun, while we are working to pay to work to march into the sun. Get it? Southern California bound in Feb.?

2006

7.15.06
hi. things have been pretty crazy for the past month or so for us. dale got the chance to sit in on the drums with some of the kirkwood family at a 'broken robot' show at the hollywood alley and on a separate occasion, managed to get permanently 86'd (along with his side-project old school punk band 'tight holes') from jughead's. we also got jumped in our EX-hometown of jerry Springerville, AZ by a few george bush loving rednecks. good thing dad was there. he's a black belt. silly rednecks.after all that and a few shows back HOME, i think we are comfortable being a trio again. it took a few shows and punches to the face (giving and receiving), but we're there. we signed a publishing deal with BMG for three songs. we have some great shows coming up (hopefully we will be announcing a few BIG shows soon), and we are still working hard on our next record with mr. lance lammers. on a side note we would also like to say CONGRATS to our friends the Format on their new record and all their success. way to go dudes! the italian catering was the bomb!

3.7.06
We would like to thank everyone who voted in the 2006 AZ Ska Punk Awards. We were voted "Best Melodic Punk Band" Thanks also to Chase & Bad Stain Records for Putting everything together! Production at the end of the month for the new record!

1.2.06
New Years Eve in Flagstaff was out of control. Broken drumsets. Broken bones(check the pics). Broken hearts. Thanks to everyone who made the trek from PHX to join us and thanks to Seven Storey Mountain and Stereotyperider for amazing sets! We are still working on the new record. We have 2 CDs full of music. We also have a couple of video projects we are working on. They are both going to be awesome. All right. Happy New Year!

Last warning: Melodic & the Self-Titled Cds are almost gone. I don't know when, if ever, they will be re-pressed the way they are. If anything we might put out a collected CD (early demos thru Self-Titled) with some videos on it or something, if you don't own the originals, time is running out.
